Learning from our successes is as important as learning from our mistakes, yet that rarely occurs.
After a defeat, we sit (with a glass of wine or two) trying to figure out what went wrong, but not when we win. A win is celebrated (with a glass of wine or two), then on to the next agenda item, confident as a conquering hero, no reflection required.
I believe valuable lessons can be learned from both which is why each Sunday, I gather my notes and my schedule to review the past week’s victories and failures looking for those lessons, here is a few of them.
1. Investing in yourself; body, soul, and spirit,
is always worth the investment.
“Choose Yourself.” James Altucher
2. Pay attention to your mindset and actions. Don’t waste time and energy focusing on what others are doing or what you can’t control.
3. The more complex your business becomes, the more you need a process to deliver consistent quality.
4. Learning to decide well is a major factor for improving your life and business.
“It’s in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.” Tony Robbins
