This week I attended the ASBDC annual conference in Long Beach, California. The ASBDC is a group of dedicated consultants across the United States who are committed to changing their communities by helping small businesses thrive. I was glad to be part of their ranks this week.
Throughout the conference, I was challenged by many of the speakers especially the keynote address delivered by Mark Schaefer who clarified the cultural changes occurring all around us and the strategies businesses must take to adjust.
As you know, most convention days are spent in workshops, breakouts, and main sessions, leaving snippets of time to explore the host city. But, I did find enough time away for a walk along the ocean, a few drinks with friends, and most importantly, a fresh energy to return home and do helpful work.
