Over the years I've met many highly talented people, but not all of them were successful. Why?
There are many reasons talented people don't succeed, but the one reason that consistently shows up is a lack of follow through or self discipline. Most of them are great starters, they are pumped up with ambition and energy at the beginning of a new project only to be unable to sustain any momentum after a short period of time.
It's my belief that self discipline is the key to any success one experiences in life. Being willing to get up everyday and do the work. To get down and dirty, to do the hard stuff when there is no crowd, no applause, just you grinding it out even when you don't feel like it.
Trainer, Mark Tyrrell says this about self discipline, "Over the years I've come to see self discipline as an invisible magic. You can't see, taste, or smell it, but its effects are huge. It can transform fat into slim, sag into buff, uninformed into expert, poor into rich, misery into happiness. It's the submerged part of the iceberg others don't see when they see your "genius."
If you want to be successful you must be self disciplined and do the work when no one is watching. There is no way around that.
It's your choice!
