Each March, college basketball takes center stage, and this season, a curious stat stood out to me—one that has more to do with your business than you might think.
Across NCAA Division I men’s basketball, this season's average field goal percentage hovered around 44.7%. That means most teams made fewer than half of their shot attempts. Only two teams—Gonzaga (50.1%) and Northern Colorado (50.0%)—cracked the 50% mark.
Read that again. Only two teams, out of more than 350, broke through the halfway line.
